Traps should be placed along wall runways with the trigger end facing the wall.
A tip for catching mice and rats: Use peanut butter or your favorite bait. Place the bait on the the trigger but do not set the trap. Check the following day to see if the bait was taken. If the bait is gone follow the above proceedure for the next 2 nights. If the bait is missing after the third night then place your bait and set the trap.
By prebaiting you establish a safe place for mice and rats to feed.
