The Vector Classic Fly Systems is the high end of the Vector Fly System line. This is the only system that uses J-tronics to trap flies. The J-tronics grid in the rear of the of the light emits a electronic pulse every 8 seconds and causes flies to fly head first into the glue board in the bottom of the light. The Vector Classic accepts the Vector Universal Glue Board, which uses a pheromone lure that attracts adult male flies to the traps in addition to the UV lamps. Even when the Vector Classic Fly System is turned off the pheromone attractant of the Vector Universal Glue Board keeps attracting flies. The Vector Universal Glue Board replaced the PT-907 Universal Glue Board.
The Vector Classic Fly System will surprise you in that it will attract a wide variety of flying insects. Other than flies it’s not unusual to find moths, wasps and other identified flying objects attracted by the UV light of the Vector Classic Fly System.
The manufacturer recommends replacing glue boards when they are 75% full and lamps/bulbs after 6-12 months use.
